themes of death, love and family.
a hauntingly emotional film that left me tearing till the end.
it was one of those movies that made me want to be left alone so that i could cry without restraints.
death has never been portrayed so beautifully before.
this film also reinforced my love for the cello sound!
that deep, mellow sound that pulls on my heartstrings and gives me goosebumps all over.
the scenes were tear-inducing enough & it could have been left that way.
but the music really turned up the atmosphere, making everything all the more heart-wrenching.
joe hisaishi did it again.
